Hello all. I've been reading SRD for years and love it. I've spent plenty of time on his site reading the gradual interview, and decided that I should check out this site.

Hail and welcome Raymond Luxury Yacht. :D

Hello to all you Land-wanderers out there!

It's good to see that there is a place for all of us to get together and geek out on the TCTC (which is a GOOD thing, of course!).

Hello all. I suppose newbie is my title, but I don't feel like one. That's why it took me 4 posts to do this one.

I first read TCTC1 in '81, inadvertently buying The Wounded Land along with the first 3, and experiencing my first cliff-hanger. That lasted a week, because TOT was waiting for me on my next trip to the bookstore. That still left me the wait for WGW, which later kept me from reading the GAP series until Chaos & Order was released in paperback. I still had to wait 3 months.

So, why in Melenkurion Skyweir did I read Runes when it came out?

Anyway, I've been here a few times browsing since I began following SRD's GI (ain't that a hoot?), and finally jumped in because the GAP could become a movie.

The user is my handle in writing groups.

I just found my introduction, which I never put in here. Wow...I've been around for a while, but...well, never posted. Thanks for not deleting me, now that I've returned to stay.

The New Guy :-)

Post by Covenant »

Hi All, I`m Andrew and I come from London England, I first read Lord Fouls Bane way back in 1978 and then worked my way through the other two books. :-)
What a Fantasy what a Trilogy, and after "discovering" Mr Donaldson the wait for the 2nd Trilogy was Oh Sooooo Painful, I remember while waiting for The One Tree I got so desperate that I wrote to Mr Donaldson Author of TC etc..(Somewhere) in Alberquerque New Mexico after reading that was where he lived on the cover of The Wounded Land.
I waited for about a couple of Months before I sadly got my letter back with the Elvis song in it saying "Return To Sender. :-)
I was a bit disappointed at this as in the past our Postal Service would go out of their way to try and make sure anything got to who it was sent to despite having little to go on!
Anyway I was wanting to ask Mr Donaldson when we might get the next volume in the Series as I was going Cold Turkey to to speak for it. :-)
I have just found out about this Message Board after checking out TC on the Wiki site I am very glad that other Addicts like me have their on corner of the Internet. :-)
I look forward to hanging out here and learning stuff as well. :-)
Peace
Andrew.
