What is "Spam"

Wow! Excellent post, Guest! I was just thinking about some of the issues raised in that article. I will have to try and take some of the "remedies" to heart.
As an example, one situation I see is this: Darth Revan tries his best to come up with interesting new topics for discussion, but a fair number of responses are one-word posts. Revan often ends up having to remind people they should explain the "why" of their answers. One-word replies don't provide much intellectual fodder for discussion.
I'd go on, but I don't want to "dominate" the discussion (Problem #4).

The reality is in this head. Mine. I'm the projector at the planetarium, all the closed little universe visible in the circle of that stage is coming out of my mouth, eyes, and sometimes other orifices also.
For those people who accuse posting in Mallorys spam, I'd just like to say you are wrong. The place is a WORD GAMES forum; you're not expected to write essays in there! Spam, in my opinion, is the nonsense stuff that goes off topic in the threads. Stuff like single posts of 'heh', 'lol' and the chats between members. I do it myself occasionally.
the difference between evidence and sources: whether they come from the horse's mouth or a horse's ass.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.
