New Member, way old SRD Fan
I remember 1977, anxiously awaiting my copy of The Illearth War, which I had been promised as Bar Mitzvah gift, while my pristine copy of The Power the Preserves sat calling to me on shelf where I had put it, promising myself not to read it out of order. Well, there it sat for a whole three days before I pulled it down and started in on it, unable to stay away.
I learned of Elena's death and Korik's Mission from the "What Has Come Before" section.
I still bear the emotional scars, although it did not diminish too much my teenage sense of wonder at the First Chronicles.
I've devoured every release since...just finished FR. Glad to have found this forum and look forward to posting my thoughts and engaging in some discussions.
