Hello, new to the forum
Hello all, my name's Phil and I'm new to the forum. I read the Covenant series earley on, when I was about 13 or 14, and I'm 21 now and excited to find a community online that shares an enjoyment of the series. It probably says a lot for the community that a series with such emotional depth has a following there.
Anyway, I look forward to reading a billion pages of archives :) Have a good day.

Welcome, Phil. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or just about anybody else.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Newbie here, though not to the Land!
Greetings! I first read all the Covenant books in high school (early-mid 1980s) and was so entranced I never read any more fantasy novels until this year (LOTR hooked me)--I was afraid anything else would be a letdown. I noticed the new printings of the First Chronicles in my local Borders, on the cover of which was printed "By the author of The Runes..." Well, I didn't know what that was all about; afraid I'd missed something over the years... went on-line and found to my utter glee that there's new books coming out
I was looking for info on the Last Chronicles and found this discussion board. Please be nice to me--TORn is the only discussion site I've ever participated in, and it has a different format than this, so I'm trying to figure things out.
So far, this place looks great and my only regret is that it took so long to find!

Tail-Kinker! You look like you are familiar with my favorite Star Trek book, UHURA'S SONG by Janet Kagan. No?
I haven't been so pleased with a name since Abaddon joined us from the Galactic Milieu universe. Welcome Tail-Kinker! May you be happy here.

Hi all! I thought I should get around to introducing myself as I've been crusing The Watch for a few weeks now.
I've been an SRD fan for almost 20 years now. I've read everything of his (several times!). I paticularly love his short story collections (my favourite story would be "Penance") but I guess "Coventant" will always be my favourite!
I happened upon SRD's official web site a few months ago just by chance, and by following the links I ended up here!
Personally, I'm jealous of all you who live in the US (I'm Australian). Wish I could go to a book signing <sigh>!
Glad to "meet" you all!

Hi, Another Newbie Here
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie, but I've been lurking around for a while.
I first read Lord Foul's Bane in 1992 and I've been addicited ever since.
Today is the best day as I am heading straight towards barnes and noble after work and getting my fresh copy of Runes!! Wow, never thought this day would EVER happen. I have also enjoyed SRD other works like some of his short stories (Daughter of Regals) and the Mordant's Need series, although it has been quite a few years since I've read those books.
Anyway, I'm thrilled to be here and can't wait for discussion on Runes.
