What are you going to do with a hippo? You know she'll end up about 5 feet high, about 12 feet long, and about 3,000lbs?

Have fun with that. :D

I am sort of disturbed.

My kid and I just decided to post a pic of a baby skunk, having not seen this page of this thread.

We searched, he picked it.

And apparently Jenn had already posted it half a day ago.
So maybe you... stole it from out of our minds, Jenn.

How? HOWW???

Also, why with an eyedropper, sarge? You mean like, feeding jellyfish?

Jenn's a ninja. :ct05:

Sarge, I don't quite know how to tell you this, but I don't get much in the way of warm fuzzies from your jellyfish picture. It might have something to do with the fact that I lived for many years in Tidewater Virginia, where we were advised to pack a container of Adolph's Meat Tenderizer when we went swimming in the bay, in case we ran into any jellyfish. Just sayin'... ;)

Well, Ali, moon jellies don't have any stinging power, unlike the nettles that infest the chesapeake bay. We used to swim wearing pantyhose when they were around. Those suckers HURT!!!

Linna, I am a ninja. It's just that simple.

Av, about the hippo, part of the challenge of stealing from you is sneaking things back when they get too big for me to keep anymore.... 8)

kudu calf? guess most people wouldn't keep that in an apartment though.

linna - their tank had a cyndrical blower, jelly fish have to stay in motion. their food had a red tinge so you would squirt them with the eyedropper filled with food. then you could see who was fed and who you still had to feed. and i got to 'pet' them as well.

That one knows mind control, so be careful about staring into his eyes. Oh. Guess I should have posted that above the pic. Oh well, too late now.

It's still kinda cute. Probably best not to show it to Lorin though.

I actually had a baby possum when I was younger. My dad rescued it from a momma possum that had been hit in the road outside our house while he was working in the yard. The driver didn't even slow and momma was still thrashing so my dad went down to put her out of her misery and realized she had one live baby left so he brought it in. We named him "aintferlong" because my dad said he "Ain't fer long in this world without his momma." We also proved that untrue. He moved onto solid foods in a few weeks and when he became a juvenile we let him go but he kept coming back and begging scraps so my dad ended up taking him to a wildlife sanctuary and releasing him there. I used to come home from school and take him out of his basket feed him and then he would curl up in my hand and I would put him over my heart and he would snuggle in my sweater and hand and nap with his little baby tail curled around my pinky finger. When he got a little bigger he liked to snug up by my neck on my shoulder and lean his head at my jugular vein. I'm pretty sure it had to do with being in a pouch as an infant and the comfort of the steady heartbeat being conducive to his sleep.

Anyway, Sorry Avatar, I stole a bunch of critters today....

I got your latest batch of flying squirrels...
