I seem to have encountered that magic threshold where my posts are no longer searchable. I thought it was 7500, but apparently it's a little less. Or maybe I'm just special. Or maybe I broke something. I was recently threatening to break things in an attempt to summon Vain, but this wasn't intentional, and it's probably not Vain-worthy either.

I think it has more to do with longevity than post count. Older posts are hard to find in search.

Try google. Probably works better than the forum search. ;)

Oh no, the search is definitely broken. It has been for years. Not the proper search, we're talking about "view all posts by..." function...it won't show more than 7,500 posts.

I think proper search hasn't gone past 7500 posts for years, as well.

Well, if you use it to search for all a person's posts it won't. But if you're searching for something specific, it's highly unlikely that there will be 7,500 instances of it. Although...given how much we repeat ourselves... ;)
