Hail All! I'm back after getting Windows XP installed and just read about SRD going to be in Albequerque (did I spell that right?). I wish I could go, but alas! I remember when I was 14 or so, I wrote him a letter via his publisher. To my suprise, I got a hand-signed response from the man himself. I was ecstatic! I remember asking him to do a story about the Land's beginning (Silmarillion style) and he said that he wasn't interested in writing a "prequel" to the story. I remember that it was the first time I ever heard the word "prequel" and I though it was cool! I hope he changes his mind though. Have fun out there guys, and welcome to all you new ones.

Hi, everybody!
Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I've been lurking on and off for a while now, since the LFB discussion was on chapter 6 I think...
Y'all seem like nice and thoughtful people, which is only to be expected of people who really like the Land, I think.
As for myself, I've been into SF for a long time, though lately I've been trying to read more of the 'classics', and finding them to be really good. So I haven't picked up a real SF book for a long time; probably will dig into GRRM at some point, though I'm still on a classics kick at the moment.
My favorite authors are: SRD, Iain Banks, FM Dostoevsky, John Piper, and Jonathan Edwards.

I'm watching Gargoyles right now, on Toon Disney. Has anyone else caught this magnificent cartoon?
Thanks for all the welcomes. I chose the name just to be contrary to the Unbeliever motif... I used to feel a lot like Covenant, now less so. But sometimes when I feel lonely it comes back.
