Welcome to the Watch, Mick. I take it you don't mind when someone calls you "Mick"? (Donaldson humor.) Hope to see you posting in.

Hi all, thought it was about time to join, been viewing for ages. Just read the 1st chapter of AATE and realised I need to re-read all 8 books! My memory is a bit rusty so digging out good old LFB to get me going - cant wait :!!!:

Welcome to the Watch, ozrics. I'm just out of LFB and just into TIW myself. Better catch up if you want to get there in time.

Welcome new folks.

OzRics, I've been listening to the Audio Books (No Second Chronicles ones though :( ). So, I too have just recently "read" the First Chronicles (Skipped Second Chronicles, since no reading time, listened to Runes already, and about 1/3 of the way through Fatal Revenant. Prior to listening to the Audio books for First Chronicles, I hadn't read them in about 15 years

Ah, well that explains it. Never read those. Funnily enough, my Uncle recently got one, so I'll borrow it from him. He said it was pretty good.

Hi there guys, I was directed here this evening by someone on my WoW server.

I first read Thomas Covenant 10 years ago at the behest of my high school boyfriend. I gave up halfway through the first book but he pushed me to finish it, and it was almost as if immediately after picking it back up I was hooked. Since then I've read the series several times, and it never gets old.

I'm a bit of a lurker, but I'm known to chime in here and there. It's good to be among people that share my love for this awesome series!

I enjoyed reading the "casting couch" page on "the Land" where several actors were proposed for roles in a Thomas Covenant movie.
Hugh Lorie, Christopher Lambert, and Val Kilmer were all excellent suggestions for the part of Thomas Covenant.
Brain Blessed as Saltheart Foamfollwer was another great suggestion!
Jackie Chan as Bannor would be awesome!
EVERY suggestion for the Part of Lord Foul was excellent!
Max Von Sydow and Christopher Walken were my faves, tho.
The Idea of Grace Jones playing Vain is absolutely awesome!!!!!!
I just wanted to express how much I've enjoyed revisiting one of my old favorites from growing up. I haven't thought of "Lord Foul's Bane" for many years, but it remains one of my favorite works of fantasy literature.
