Greetings all. I actually joined yesterday but It took me 24 hours to discover this thread. I have contributed a few posts and have read many more. This is a terrific site and I look forward to many insightful discussions.
But I thought I was the only Donaldson fan. :-)

8O Wow...This is great! Welcome to all the new members and guests...Lord Trevor, Believer, Jenny, ClearFrontier, etc...

It's wonderful to have so much new blood...so many new opinions and points of view! Can't wait to talk with you all!

P.S.
Clearfrontier,

It takes a special person to appreciate Donaldson...You've got to be intelligent, personable, quick-witted, handsome (or beautiful as the case may be)! Welcome to the club! ;)
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. My introduction(again) :p

Post by Gil galad »

Hi everyone Aaron here, just thought i'd take a minute to introduce myself to the group. I'm 19 years old, from New Zealand and have a big interest in literature. Favourite Authors are Tolkien, Donaldson and L.E Modesitt (in no order)

One of the things i'm most interested in learning about and discussing are similarities in plot devices and symbolism between books by different authors, in particular Chronicles o Thomas and LOTR.

Welcome. Is that Fred Gwynne?
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Hi hi. Well, Maegan Galintha moved, and she said I could do whatever with her name, so I changed it. :)

Um........yes, but Maegan Galintha was Turiya's alter ego, right? :?

No, Maegan was another person. I *was* Turiya, but now I'm me. As Raverbane said, Maegan moved (a tragic event, to be sure....), and she gave him her email address, and her Watch identity. It's a bit hard to keep up, isn't it?

BTW- I have no alter ego, so just quit with that.

Criminy! :Hail: :Hail: I never meant to offend our worthy werefox! ;)

So...... Turiya Foul is to Shalimar Foxfire as Maegan Galintha is to Raversbane..........only not exactly because Raversbane is someone totally new........right? RIGHT!?? Okay, I think I've got it now. ;) ;) ;)

Hey.......I'm not a Lord! :? :(

Turiya became Foxfire and Lady Thea became Lady Althea who became Maegan Galintha who metamorphosed into Raverbane :faint:
