In nearly every other forum I'm a member of, people tend to take offence at the least little thing.

So I'll admit to making the assumption that this forum would be like all the others.

I'm glad to see that I've been proven wrong :D
Yup, we're pretty laid back here. Except in the Tank.

I haven't got off to a very good start have I?! So let's start again shall we?

Hi everyone, my name is Bruce, I'm an Englishman living in Scotland, and have been a fan of SRD for many years. I'm looking forward to joining in with the discussions about SRD's novels, and I'm sure I'll enjoy my stay here...
Don't worry like that)) Did you take the answers to your pony comment as all serious?) Frostheart, our main resident Brony, can go as far as posting a collage with Xena as the First of the Search  And I confess that I haven't seen a single episode, and not sure if I may remain able to post ponies if I see any)
:shhh: Don't tell anyone I just shopped Legolas' head on something supposed to represent Covenant.

Ahem. Due to matters such as this, Av may insist on kicking some of us into the loony bin. I may show great devotion to certain fandoms, but never take these things with an entirely straight face.

Mad, they're all mad.

Don't let it get to you.

(And hey, y'all diss the 'Tank, but the occasional bickering and name-calling aside, it's pretty laid back too, as far as most online political discussions go. Y'know. )

And the Tank really has relativity applied) Politics are politics even here, but better than in most of the other places.

That's what I keep hearing. Which is why I don't discuss politics anywhere but here.

Fire away! We can take it! One of the reasons it's called the 'Tank is because of the heavy armour necessary to survive there

Oh lordy, what I meant to say was, "I should quit taking cheap shots at the Tank." Talk about a Freudian slip...

OTOH, it's funny the original way, too...

Hi

Post by rehabguy1960 »

New to the forum. I remember reading the first Chronicles when they came out and then eagerly reading everything else SRD wrote as the books came out. Almost finished Against All Things Ending, then planning to reread them all starting from the beginning to be ready for the big finale.

Love the discussion on here, and man, SRD can just flat out write.

Welcome RehabGuy... If you follow all of SRD, then you'll also find The Gap Series being discussed in it's own Forum, and Mordant's Need has one too, only the short stories and PI/Mystery Stories are left to discuss in the General Thread (Oh, and, Get Togethers..Major Gathering with SRD each Book release in his native New Mexico and, "almost major" with many Kevin's Watchers Gathering in the In Between Years.)

New England Gathering Shaping up for 5 - 15 people in the next 2 months, Wayfriend, Menolly or Aliantha can direct you, if interested :)
