Remember, everytime you drag someone through the mud, you're down in the mud with them
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain
Where are we going...and... WHY are we in a handbasket?

Welcome, welcome, welcome.
But I think it would be a TERRIBLE idea to base the GINI coefficient on the distribution of yams.

the difference between evidence and sources: whether they come from the horse's mouth or a horse's ass.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

Long time lurker makes the plunge
Hi All, good to be here. Been hanging about since I came across here right after RotE came out. but been a Donaldson fan since the First Chronicles came out in paperback in 1978 or so. Waited patiently (NOT!) as each book in the Second Chronicles made their way to publication and again this time with the Last Chronicles. At my age I began to despair of living to reach the end but having finished 'The Last Dark' I can at last breathe a sigh of relief!

I was in college when The One Tree and White Gold Wielder came out. It was the Cold War, too. And when I finished The One Tree, I started getting so nervous that Donaldson would die, or that I would die, or that the idiots would push the button, and that I'd never get to find out what happens.kevlar56 wrote:Hi All, good to be here. I think I was the only person who was afraid of nuclear armageddon for that reason.
PS: he lived, I lived, and there was no button pressing. In case you younger folks were wondering.
Be true. Nothing else signifies.
