Welcome, Dura Fairflank. You are better than a Ranyhyn, I presume.

Hello Wayfriend,

A Ranyhyn!
Well those boys are really smart and very, very fast.

While I was still trying to get the hang of, "reigns left"-"reigns right", they were doing map-reading, kung-fu, topiary.

Wait a minute ... topiary.
I think those boys have been pulling my leg again.

A sagacious Ranyhyn I am not. A complete idiot  I might not argue.

I somehow managed to tie my Username password and E-mail address in knots and left with a deactivated account I'm unable to amend.
I've re-registered as Vizidor.

I hope this will be OK.

That means that you are Dura Fairflank aka Rod aka Vizidor?

If so and you'd like your old account back, I'd say that Avatar will probably be able to do something about that for you!

Hello Dura, er Rod, er Vizidor. Did I already say welcome? I'm confused. :? That's what comes of being away from the watch for a few days.

Yes, you had already said welcome.

I don't remember reading your post.
I live in the Midlands, near to the centre of England. Although where exactly the centre is is forever in dispute between the mathematicians and the geographists. A lot of shaking of phists!
As I'm now beginning to blether, I'll say hidieho! :D

They say Birmingham is the centre. Lincolnshire is definitely off centre - absolutely no-one has to come through Lincolnshire to get anywhere! But we are also classed as "Midlands".

I spent a short while in Grimsby Town, where I probably had the most easy going time ever. I was sad to leave. Maybe being slightly insulated is a good thing.

I Googled the centre of England and thought it funny to read so many opinions.
It was especially interesting to read someone say that if a cut out shape of England (from an old atlas I'd expect) were balanced on the point of a pin would mark, Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Oddly enough, a place I've been planning to visit for a day trip.

As the saying goes, you learn something new each day.

Hello

Never been a member of any board before, so I am like a super newbie.

I've been reading Donaldson since 1980. It seems that every time I read the chronicles again I identify more strongly with TC. Been "broken" a long time myself and admit to my conflicted nature.
