It seems I stumbled upon the Watch like a few others here, due to searching for Thomas Covenant on the internet. I'm afraid it isn't too inventive or creative, but I certainly am glad I did search for it, as I have actually gained a much broader (and dare say better) perspective of the events in the Chronicles that I simply couldn't have garnered otherwise.

Though, out of curiosity, about how big is the Kevin's Watch community? I could check the memberlist, but that isn't quite so indicative of actual active members, is it? (I may be mistaken :( but, I think it's just a general listing..)

The reality is in this head. Mine. I'm the projector at the planetarium, all the closed little universe visible in the circle of that stage is coming out of my mouth, eyes, and sometimes other orifices also.

I, for one, would be interested to hear from someone who found us through our affiliation with the brand new Stephen Donaldson site... Any takers?...

Has the mystery of the apostrophelessness of Kevins Watch [sic] ever been explained? (This post is the only time I've found it apostrophed.)

I think the Trans-Universal Mapping Society came through and changed it (along the lines of a news story I barely remember where the apostrophes were taken out of various bays and such).
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

So, I'm new, found this site out b/c I have interest in fantasy/science fiction style books and the net is a great place to discuss like topics with similiar interested friends. I post quite a bit at the Terrybrooks.net forum, and I have just recently started to read the Donaldson books.
