Hey Zephalephelah, I've already responded to you in the TC forums, but welcome to the Watch. :D

Welcome one and welcome all (of course I actually hold no sway at all as to who is welcomed and who isn't)

You all have my blessing (which also holds no power)

Hi! I'm the Itchy Purple Snowflake! You know, obviously, that I'm Shalimar Foxfire by the pretty green colour on my name when you look at who's online.

You may be wondering why I'm like this now. I lost a bet, got a haircut, and aced my progress report at school. My friends and I have a system for this. If all these things happen, the other friends get to redo the bet-losing, haircut-getting, progress report-acer's (hereby known as the BHP) Internet profile.

So, behold my tortured profile! *sniff* I hate my friends.

Oh, and hi to all new people.

Rwor!, I'm new to these forums.

I haven't read TC or any other SRD's, but I've been recommended to them by a friend of mine and referred to this website, so, uhhh... here I am *poof!*. I'll look into getting a copy and start reading and stuffs.

As for myself, uhh, I'm a comp-sci major at my local private college. I like to, uhh, do stuff, not really, I just sit in my room all day like a lazy bum and eat cookies. When I'm not doing that, I like to compose music on my midi keyboard, or program stuff, or even occasionally build small explosive or rant about the nature of the IT department or how my hand always gets stuck in the sink when I try to grab that damn quarter that I somehow ALWAYS need to buy something from useful (relatively speaking of course) from The Burrow. I also like to RP, though I can't say I'm the best at it (yes, I'm a LTOPFTRP). Anything else? Uhh... I can juggle up to 6 plastic cups at once, honestly!

Welcome, Mixo. Welcome and true. Who referred you?
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Just dropping in to say Hi. This is a great site. I searched months for a Donaldson site like this one, but my searches under the author's name never yielded anything like this. I finally learned of this site from another on-line discussion site for a different author.

I've read the original Covenant chronicles twice, and once each for the second Chronicles and the Gap series. All excellent books. Unfortunately, it was a long time ago . . . but I'm still eagerly awaiting the final Chronicles and I'm overjoyed that's it more than a rumor.

Right now I'm planning to read the Mordant's Need duology and the Axbrewder mysteries, so I may turn up on those message threads more often, as I won't feel hopelessly out of my depth as I do here. The lack of an eidetic memory can be a pain in the butt, and I'm just not ready to re-read the Chronicles until the date for Runes of the Earth is much closer and I'll be able to recall fine nuances better. :)
