Ah, my mistake, it was one of the default objects in one of the True Space programs, and, being the only place I've ever seen it, that's what I associate it with. :D

Hi, I'm bossk. I actually came here after reading EVERY WORD of the gradual interview on Mr. Donaldson's site. I haven't read ROTE yet, so I'll be avoiding discussion of that book, but I'm currently re-reading the Gap Cycle, so I may have some fun over there.

Nice to meet'chall.

Hello Bossk!x
The reality is in this head. Mine. I'm the projector at the planetarium, all the closed little universe visible in the circle of that stage is coming out of my mouth, eyes, and sometimes other orifices also.

Here is a newbie post: Just joined this morning. Name is Zaphir and I live in upstate NY. Just returned from a yr in Iraq with the Army...but not in the Army. Friend of mine over gave me LFB and said it was a good book. Ok...sure, why not...not watching too much TV in Baghdad anyways. Well, the hook was set and I am on book #4 now. Fantastic reading and looking forward to the rest of the series. As I progress in the series, I know the characters better and better...like they are friends. I am not much of a reader and my wife looks at me now with a confused expression when I neglect the TV and settle in with The Wounded Land...just about down with that. I like Vain. I miss Bannor and Foamfollower. Feel bad for Troy. Fantastic website, I look forward to exploring it and hopefully won't trip across too many spoilers.

Welcome, welcome and true. Image

You might want to steer clear of the Covenant discussion forum until you finish White Gold Wielder. :) Lots of spoilers there up to the end of that book. But a place where you can enjoy Covenant discussion without many spoilers is in the forum called Dissecting the Land. We went through the first six books chapter by chapter, and tried to avoid spoilers for future chapters as we did so. :)
Love as thou wilt.

Welcome Zaphir! It's great to have a new reader here! Duchess has already said, as you go through these books, please check out the Dissecting the Land forum and feel free to add any comments that you may have.

Haven't checked this thread for a while. Welcome all!

Note to all who wish to peruse the Dissecting The Land forum: after recently scanning through it for my "Dissecting Stats" topic, I noticed that there are actually numerous spoilers for the 2nd Chronicles liberally sprinkled throughout the early LFB chapter discussions. Maybe I'll contact danlo to ask him to edit those posts that contain big spoilers, but there's a fair number of 'em. I guess this was before we became more strict in our spoiler-free approach to Dissecting.

So anyway, I would advise Dissecting readers who are new to the Chronicles to still beware of spoilers in the LFB discussions. Thank you for your attention. I return you now to our regularly scheduled programming. :)

Hello all...first post here. I've been a SRD fan for 15+ years now, I can't remember exactly when I first read Lord Foul's Bane, but it must have been Junior High School. Since then, it's been one of my favorite series and I've read it through a number of times. After reading the Runes of the Earth, I've been back into the whole world of TC and very much looking forward to the next book!

I'm a long-time fantasy nut, and am constantly looking for new authors and series to discover. I found this site by accident just surfing around the web. Looks pretty cool! 8)
