Okay, it's more for information than beaming up Kirk. Cool application of the quantum entanglement phenomenon. Lots of implications for quantum computing. I believe it will take quantum computers to actually produce sentient machine. Wow, we're in for quite a ride in the next few decades.

Glad to see they mentioned the earlier experiments with light, (at MIT about 8-10 years ago IIRC), as those were the first successes. (I used to have a clipping from the first reported success, because people refused to believe me when I mentioned it.
Lent out and lost sadly.)
