Maybe if you stopped smoking pot the smoke would clear!
I'm going outside at sunset and will take some pics!

Will this be visible again in the Northern Hemisphere? I hate that I missed it.

I think we had our chance earlier in the week. Once the comet rounded the sun, it is only visible in the southern hemisphere.
Damn, I'm usually up on this type of thing, but I didn't learn about it until a friend sent an email last night on it.

Here too so far unfortunately. Big storms rolling in every evening just before sunset.

Thunderstorms around here at sunset the last few days (thankfully, as it has been stinking hot and we need the rain to put out the bushfires). Hilly too, so it would have taken an expedition.
Meh, I'm still a bit miffed at comets after getting burned by Halleys in '86.

Comet Hyakutake, in 1996, was the most impressive comet I saw. It seemed to stretch across 1/4 of the sky.

That's really depressing Damelon.
I had to look slightly away from Halley's comet to even see it. We don't even get to see the ISS where I am.
Nuffin here. Although I do have vivid memories of watching Skylab fall in '77, even though I was knee-high-to-a-grasshopper at the time.

The mountains to the west of me blocked the view.

Not that I made much of an effort but I reckon the weather was probably too crappy to see it here.
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.
I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.
