I think it is just an animated gif. There is probably some software that converts MPEG or AVI into GIF. I suspect it would not be free.

You can find a free animated gif maker in google. But I doubt you'll find one that can convert movies.

I can convert .avi's into .gifs. The shorter the better though basically. Mail a short .avi to me at the addy in my profile and I'll mail you back a .gif.

Sweeet.
Couldn't get it really any smaller. I have zero editing programs.

I
was using an old version of Animation Shop, by the same guys who do Paintshop Pro.
But it turns out that it's now too old to deal with the new compression. But the graphic design department here has Adobe Premiere. I'll give that a shot today.

I swear, Avatar's company is going to sue my ass off one day for all of the unproductive hours of work he's wasted here on the Watch.

My company would be very unhappy if I left. Very very unhappy indeed. Most they will do is complain a little.
And I have an unassailable defence...Not only have they never complained about the standard of my work, but I'm honing my writing and persuasive skills here to continue giving them top quality work.
