The total post count in the Tank is only about 3,000 behind the total here in GenDisc. :hairs:

Are we gonna let those gasbags take over the lead? Or are we gonna post our little hearts out here?

C'mon, let's hear some chatter! I'm counting on you!

What's the problem? There's an "other" choice.

It's not the number of posts. It's the number of posts I scroll past. 99.9999998% of the Think-Tank's posts I ignore (unless it's a post by me, which I print off upon reading, or if it's a post that mentions me passingly or thanks me in a giant, gushing block paragraph).

Since I post more in General Discussion, it's obviously the more interesting, less dry and less political forum. Kinda like sex except in a forum version.

I believe that's the first time I've ever seen anybody compare this forum with sex....

Sexually, it's not sex. But compared to most of KW, it's very sexual. Not that the other forums are bad. I like a lot of them. Just not in that way.

Ahem!

People, why is KW here? I am not knocking any of the various fora (forums is preferred English usage, but I am a bit of a pedant -- and besides, fora is an anagram of RAFO...), but surely none of them would be here if it were not for the foundation built on appreciation for the works of SRD.

What brought most of us here? Aside from a certain "GT Purist" fringe element that is here solely for the games, are not Donaldson's works the common bond of virtually everyone on KW? Sure, we also participate in these other discussions / debates / amusements (sometimes more than we do in the SRD area, expecially in the long interregna between book releases), but we became KW members because this is The Place on the internet to discuss Donaldson.

I couldn't agree more. Well said, SD. The SRD forums are what it's all about, and the forums that I moderate must be considered the preeminent forums here at KW.

Yes it is. Unfortunately, even for the most verbose among us, there is only so much you can say about SRD and the books. :D SRD brought us here, but it's the other forums which keep us coming back all the time. ;)

Hey, I was the first one to vote for the Tank! You're mis-representing me, that's a logical fallacy, you're just adding your fnord spin on things, How dare you quote a source without commentating! That's not arguing! etc, etc, etc :P ;)
