Goodbye and fare well!

Post by rusmeister »

I just want to say goodbye to everyone. Since I am about to be banned anyway, I thought I'd pre-empt the wishes of the mods and leave first. I can be reached at rusmeister@yahoo.com if anyone wants to know the reasons. I did meet some wonderful people here, and a special goodbye to Fist, Ali, Linna (and others) for your wonderful patience and interesting and challenging discussions!

Farewell eh? There's always a place for you, if you decide to let us change some essential parts of your being. They did it to me and I'm fine.

For them as is interested, Rus has picked up a temporary ban for refusing to adhere to our implicit agreement to temporarily confine his posting to certain threads for various reasons.

It's not the outcome I would have wished for, but I hope that he will soon be back, and keeping in mind ways to reduce or eliminate any tensions caused by his approach to communicating his ideas.

I'm sure that no lasting harm has been done or will come of this, and trust it serves as a reminder to all that we expect everybody to show some consideration to their fellow posters, especially when specifically asked to.

Thank you.

i had become so awesome that the mods were afraid i would take over the watch. so they conspired and ended up banning me. they changed the mallory's monetary system to tokens in order to limit my spending power. they outright banned certain allies of mine (dennisrwood, sgtkafka) and started a campaign against me.

the (fake) australian contingent was invented to circumvent my power. esmer and prebe were invented from the leftovers of the zeph hardware.

it all failed in the end - people love me so much that i had to be allowed back.

Excellent post Sarge.

Way to ignore the virtual lobotomy that allowed you back in ;)

that makes it sound like the Watch used to be the Wild West, now it's more a Wild West theme-park...did I really miss all the danger and excitement by not arriving till aught-eight?

Doesn't matter when you joined, Vraith. I was here for the end of both Darth and Zeph, and I missed them both. :?

To rus, if you stop back by -- thanks for all the verbal jousts, and my best to you and your family. :)
