HUGE News about The Last Dark! (April Fools 2012)

Post by kevinswatch »

Hey Watchers!

Sorry that I've been gone for so long. But I arrive with BREAKING news about the Last Chronicles.

First, like with Shall Pass Utterly, the last book, "The Last Dark", (due 2013) has had a name change! Wow!

Second, the preview of the U.S. book cover is available. Check it out!

So who is the woman on the cover??? I'll leave that to you all to speculate.

:haha:

It's gone mid-day here in the UK, too late for April Fools!
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

  Bravo! Lovely idea

Maybe the TCTC movie scripts from the Bad Writing Game will do after that?

:LOLS:

I was nearly caught by this, but now that I look at the title and the book cover it seems quite apt

I'm happy to announce that after the tremendous success of such Pony spin-offs as A Game of Ponies, The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever will also become a fully animated, 10-season series featuring our beloved characters in delightful, equine form!

Image

From the very beginning, the development of the series has been closely supervised by SRD himself, who absolutely adores these pink, happy creatures. I have personally participated in storyboarding the animation, and can confirm that the first season will be called The Return of Berek Half-Hoof!

Stay tuned for more important announcements about this spectacular show!

Edit: fixed the logo a bit.

I'm curious about who is the last dork from the title. From the general name of the Chronicles, the last man stading should be TC, but there's the fact that it was Linden in the Second Chronicles, and there's a woman on the cover after all...

Never too late to be a fool, April or otherwise

How interesting, I've heard of that one already as well, and I have some extra information on that. There are at least two cartoon projects of such kind.

I'm going to supervise another one, though I do not intend to share much, both because it's a secret for now and you may not want to be spoiled too early.
Spoiler
It's going to be made for some really different tastes - Metalocalypse style, with Covenant rotting away right before the eyes of the viewers, lots of exploding brains in the scenes with Kinslaughterer, graphic sex everywhere it was and some where it wasn't, many hints on homosexual/bisexual behavior, especilly about the Ravers, they snatch bodies of different genders easily, and their attitude to Lord Foul seemed very suggestive to the maker of the show; and many other wonderful ideas in the same vibe.

I thought it was pretty funny, even if [maybe because] the pic looks like "Hermione visits Little House on the Prairie."
Perhaps you veered too far into the total absurdity realm...I don't know about anyone else, but I find it far more likely that I will be struck by a car and transported to a magical land than that the world will ever run out of dorks

Well, I guess not everyone had extra suggestion, like making movies on Bad Writing Game scripts (and you should see that one to appreciate the idea, the link is in my signature), or projects with pink ponies (!) and Half-Hoofs or with rotting Covenant and homoerotic tension (or was it supposed to be more than that?) between the Ravers and LF.

Btw, quite some variety here)

And if just posting here is appreciated already, people can leave smiling emoticons easily enough.

I was actually anticipating April Fool's on the Watch, but don't go into A&S all that often. Why not put it into GenDis, or at least post a teaser there? Then again it was Sunday and I wasn't online.

Anyway, idea and execution very well done! :)

I'm way late to see this, but still think it's funny!

Now I'm visualizing a book cover of a sealed glass jar with sugared fruit and fruit glaze inside it. The title could be, "The Powered-Up Preserves".

Thomas Covenant standing on grass near a fence while wearing a baseball glove: "White Gold Fielder".

However, I'm still not sure what cover to visualize for a book entitled "Against All Things Bending".
