Welcome The New Moderator
After long deliberation, and the consideration of many worthy candidates, Deer Of The Dawn has agreed to accept the duties of moderator for the HAll of Gifts.

As Mod of this forum for nearly 10 years I am overjoyed to see Deer as mod of the Hall. She reminds me of Furls in terms of her goodness and altruism, and I hope she enjoys her stint.
Her writing is fantastic. There is no better choice.
ALL HAIL DEER!

Though no fan of Worm
I entirely agree
With his Welcome note
Who better than Deer
To moderate Hall of Gifts?
Nobody, that's who!
Others aspired
But this is no slight of them
Please don't take amiss
Glorious future

If I knew who you were I'd feel slighted and be able to address the source of transgression. But that would spoil who you are and also I imagine you're going to reply in more poetry anyway.Dread Poet Jethro wrote:Though no fan of Worm

Thank you everyone!! Now, let's play nice here, and contribute to the cool points of the universe by posting our literary contributions. I'm not easily offended but (as in my classroom) have zero tolerance for abuse-- which makes this a good place for me, since I see little evidence of that being a problem in this forum.
Sarge, relax. You are loved.

Congratulations)
I made new special balloons for you
Sarge, Making every worthy person a moderator is hardly an option - we could have the whole Watch of moderators Actually, I'd have been happy to hear I was even considered at all for such a position, though I doubt that could be so for some reasons), moreover so since most of my work is more like Bad Writing Game material, where it does end up)

Congrats Deer!!
You will make a great mod for the Hall. And I'm sure my mother would agree as well.

For Myles--
When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love
For Mom--
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.
Fly...fly high against the sky...
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you
The wind beneath my wings
When evening shadows and the stars appear

DOh! A Deer! [huRAY, a drop of golden sun!]
Me, I should be a mod...I never rant, rave, judge people, participate in only the most reasonable ways, I LOVED the Mod Squad, and would look great with an afro and tall boots.

the difference between evidence and sources: whether they come from the horse's mouth or a horse's ass.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
