A fascinating story from the CBS affiliate out of Denver. This kid had several bad hits while playing lacrosse, the hits lead to seizures and hallucinations, and then when the symptoms cleared he discovered that he could play about a dozen instruments by ear with a surprising amount of skill.
I had looked into savant cases before and found that music is one of the most common results, followed by sculpture or drawing, language, and a handful of individual talents. Somehow his injuries led to just the right set of circuits being triggered and this is the result. We still don't know what circuits are buried in the neurophysiology of our brain and have yet to activate. Fascinating stuff.
