Posting For June

Post by Avatar »

Last June was really quiet on the Watch, so I think we should be able to do better than 1571 this time round. :D

Let the Postage commence!

Whoa, Av got into starting one of these threads.

My goals for the month:
1. Double last month's posting-goal: go for n+80, where n=2315 when t==MONTH_START.
2. Start 5 topics in at least 3 different sub-fora which get at least 5 responses each.
3. Post in the Chrons forum at least 5 times. (sigh!)
4. Average 4ppw (posts/wk) in the Hall. (basically, use the write-for-two-mins thread, or some such)

Edit: Ooh, a fourth goal. Added.
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
-Elisabeth Elliot, Preface, "A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael"

Thanks for picking up my slack. :P

Meant to start this last night, but WoW stuff happened.

I'm keeping my goal at an average of 5 per day.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

10! *runs to Mallory's*

And agreed about the two-minute thread - I'd love to see more activity there, not that I don't enjoy playing ping-pong (post-pong?) with Linna - my evil plot to guilt-trip lurkers hasn't helped much.

It totally works!
I like having a spot on the Watch where I can go work on something, "produce content," whatever ya call it.

Before, I felt like I didn't have many ideas for things to write.
But thinking about the stuff I saw people writing there and asking myself "what can I write that would fit here?" ...now I feel like I have tons of decent ideas.
In my case, I think it's that I have enough of the extrovert in me...

And like... sitting down to write something is a thing to look forward to.

That's an 8.3 on the implausibility scale.

Y'know... we could change our tactics, Sorus...
...like switch to inviting people who don't necessarily lurk around Da Hall a lot, but who have demonstrated creative word-wielding.

I'm especially thinking of Cord Hurn and Vizidor.

See:
Fun, goofy snippet by CH.
Zany, amusing snippet by V. (ermm, the newer "V" Watcher, that is. Vizidor.)

An' there's more thoughts of mine where that came from...
(Someone say somethin' on this thread an' I'll likely add to what I've got down so far..) :)

That's a good idea. Some folks may not be aware that the thread exists.

I'll try my best.

Well, maybe not my best. But I'll try at least.

Good enough?
