Personality types: Myers-Briggs (MBTI) / Keirsey (KTS)

Post by Linna Heartbooger »

Who here knows what their personality type is according to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or Keirsey Temperament Sorter?

I'm an ENFP.
Lately, (and by that I mean, "today"!) I'm trying to figure out how an ENFP would, in theory, actually get things done.

Also, if you know what your personality type is / some friends' are, this is often hilarious:
thoughtcatalog.com/heidi-priebe/2015/05/the-definition-of-hell-for-each-myers-briggs-personality-type/
Here's what I got:
ENFP – Every minute of the rest of your life has been scheduled for you – and it’s a long series of arbitrary, solitary tasks.
Noooooooooooo!

:) Who else?

They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.

INTP (although borderline P/J)
You are eternally condemned to researching an extremely vapid topic using wildly inaccurate methods, mostly involving interviewing people who have no idea what they’re talking about.

Every time I've taken those silly online tests, I've come up as INFJ
INFJ – You are eternally damned to working for a morally corrupt company that aims to exploit the weak and generally degrade conditions for all of society.
Yeah, that would match my definition of hell.

I loved the INTP one.. it's researching something, which fits, yet it manages to have all the things that a friend who is ...either INTP or INTJ... would consider the most torturesome... all put in one place.

Especially these parts:
using wildly inaccurate methods
who have no idea what they’re talking about.

MsMary- yup; I am seein how that one is particularly horrible..

Creator- I seem to be close to the E/I borderline myself, though on the other side.

I knew my type a couple of years ago; since then I have forgotten and don't care. If I ever have to take it again (or something like it) I will probably lie just to see what kind of random results I can obtain.

I can't remember what I am. I think INTP.

Let's see...
INTP – You are eternally condemned to researching an extremely vapid topic using wildly inaccurate methods, mostly involving interviewing people who have no idea what they’re talking about.
That is one of the more annoying options on the list, so probably still accurate.

I've gotten ENTP, INTP, and the most recent one I got I can't remember (but I believe it was the same one Michael Jackson and David Bowie had, and it also said nurses frequently have it). I don't really put any stock in it.

I've consistently gotten the same result over years. How much stock I put in it though...

INFJ too, usually (although sometimes the F and the J change to the other option, and once the I even swapped for the E, which freaked me out a little...). And I work for a law firm. Welcome to my hell.

Genius is a matter of context. :D How many potential concert pianists were born before the piano was invented? And how many more who never saw one even though it had been?

Certainly Av. A case in point would be myself failing ever to get into the adult entertainment industry, where my genius .............
