Does the person who makes the millionth post get a prize?
The truth is a Lion and does not need protection. Once free it will look after itself.

You make it sound unreasonable, yet what you'd really need to do is 20 posts an hour for 16 hours of the day, 7 days a week. That way you get a full night of sleep and enough energy to keep going.Avatar wrote:Pfft, this is just the July stage of the countdown. (even I couldn't manage the 13 posts an hour for 24 hours of the day, 7 days a week to get 10k in one month. )

To do that, we just need to make posts that generate response-posts that generate response-posts.aliantha wrote:Nothing wrong with shooting for the stars, Murrin.
I started to write more, but then I decided it sounded too much like an official statement of purpose, and posted it here:

"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."

"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."

We're getting there. At our current rate it's now looking like the end of the year. We could try and get it to coincide with New Year's!
I'm on 5324 for the start of this month.

What, me? I haven't made 10K posts in 10+ years. I'm just the logistics department. You're the posting expert, and I wouldn't presume to aspire to your level. Or something like that.Avatar wrote:Nothing to it obviously.
