Montreal - Leonard Cohen, the storied musician and poet hailed as one of the most visionary artists of his generation, has died at age 82, it was announced on Thursday.

I'm sadly lacking in my knowledge of his oeuvre; considering how big an influence he was both in the time of my youth and in the particular milieu I mixed in. I have been greatly impressed with the small sample i have listened to and need to make a belated attempt to get a handle on his output. RIP.
