Complaint Board

Post by samrw3 »

I had one of THOSE nights last night. I am driving home and traffic is moving slowly. All the sudden I realize why - the car in front of me is stalled and not moving. Now I need to move to the next lane. So driving a half mile that normally takes a minute or so has become at least a ten minute ordeal.

Then I make a right turn - traffic moving slow here as well. I finally realize they have traffic blocked on the right lane because of traffic construction. Now mind you I just took these same road in the morning and when I passed that same area from the other direction there was no construction - they must have started it THAT day. So again a half mile took another ten minutes.

Just when I thought the traffic Gods had dealt me enough problems - I am driving and all the sudden a cop flips on his siren. I pull to the right thinking they just need to get by me. But NO...they pull right behind me. Oh great... I knew I was n not speeding or pass through a red light... Welll..ended up he pulled me over for a headlight not working (which I didn't know about until then) So my normal commute of 45 minutes has now turned into torture of 1 and half hours.

Sigh....Anyways you turn to vent complaints and frustrations.

I want to complain that you're complaining about a 1 1/2 hour commute time which is my typical commute.

I was going to say! ... my 45 minute commute becomes a 1-1/2 hour commute every third day.

What I complain about most now when driving is the people who see you changing lanes and speed up to not let you in EVEN WHEN YOU ARE ALREADY HALFWAY INTO THE OTHER LANE.

I used to complain about tailgaters. Lately they are the least of my driving issues.

I know my commute time is not THAT horrible. One and half hours normal commute - yikes!

It was more of the frustration of it all - I had to vent SOMEWHERE - (lucky you all  )

Sooo. since I am in full on vent mode....

Also yesterday had office training on some payroll reports that started off innocently enough. Then questions...more questions...time dragging on - preventing from getting any real work done...for heavens sake people STOP asking questions!!

Ok you all happy now that I am not complaining about commute time any more?? 8)

Hahahaha... I feel your ... ummm ... pain 😏

Can certainly relate .. I used to find ... mmm .. training days would always drag on .. then you had those people, you know the ones that have to ask dumb questions..

And that would not only NOT be illuminating but would mean wed be stuck there forever, and ever. Some people should not be given training responsibilities ... and well .. people πŸ™„

Haha, takes me 20 minutes to get to work in the morning, and maybe 30 minutes to get home.

(My previous job though was a 50km drive one way...that sucked.)

(And good to see you venturing out of the Chrons forums, samrw3. :) )

Lol for sure Skyweir.

Thanks Avatar for the welcome outside of Chronicles area :)

I was hoping to have an area where people could vent their frustrations, annoyances, complaints, etc.

Certainly I cannot be the only one for need to vent?? 8O

Yeah!
I remember my first call center job...

And when we were getting training, I remember the first few times someone asked a question that made me go, "That has GOT to be covered later in here."
And sure enough, it was.
And that kept happening again and again.

I think some of it is people trying to show they were paying attention. :-/
Some of it is people haven't assessed, "If I notice it might be an issue, then it has SURELY come up before, and there is a business rule for it!"

And then there's the times when people are NOT paying attention and they ask questions about something that's been explicitly covered.

wf- I am WITH you on the drivers who speed up right after you've signaled your changing into the left lane, etc.
Argh.

samrw3- one time someone started a thread called "the fist-shaking thread" around here, so there's precedent!
of course, at that same time, one of our members created a parallel fist-unclenching thread. (which I am a real huge fan of.)

My commute was an hour minimum. Over the last year, I had to allow myself at least 1 1/2 hours in order to clock in on time.

It helped that I listen to audio dramas while driving, which helps to pass the time more pleasurably. (But doesn't save me from the crazy drivers!)

Just curious what is fist-unclenching?

Avatar agreed on teleportation!!

Although if any of you have seen Spaceballs that image where the leader is teleported so that his head is backwords and he sees his backside....well...there may be disadvantages....

Youre dead right Linna .. they are usually the motivations πŸ˜‚ for relentless question asking.

I dont like the monotony of drivers to and from work in the city or to the city. I love open road driving, its utterly therapeutic πŸ™‚

Someone should lodge a complaint about the lack of Sorus around here.
