I don't usually think any particular actress looks good, but I do think that they look good in certain roles--more so better than in real life. Maybe it's the movie makeup? heh . . .

Anyway, my favorites:

Miranda Otto as Eowyn from the Lord of the Rings trilogy comes first to mind . . .

And then there's Uma Thurman who I liked in Gattaca. Oh yeah, and Naomi Watts in The Ring. And then Jennifer Jason Leigh in eXistenZ. And Jennifer Connelly looked her best (I think) in Requiem for a Dream. Oh yeah, and Carrie-Anne Moss in Momento. Sorry, once I start I can’t stop. One more, and I swear I’ll stop! Linda Fiorentino in a bunch of movies.

Ack, one more! Kirsten Dunst in Bring It On. And uh, uh, Scarlett Johansson in Ghost World. Damn it Foul, stop yourself! :!: |T

Sarah was during the first couple seasons of Buffy. Teri Hatcher was during the first few seasons of Lois and Clark, as well as the movies Cool Surface and Heaven's Prisoners.

Catherine Zeta-Jones. That was who I was trying to remember. I especially liked her in Entrapment. She and Michael Douglass have been annoying to me lately, but within the the context of a film she's great.

Happened to see part of Bad Boys on TV today, which reminded me... Tea Leoni.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I was thinking of Timecode (and Big Daddy, too), and it reminded me of none other than my personal all-time favorite, Leslie Mann. Look her up at IMDB.com if you're not familiar with her. They've got pics.
