A damm good movie: The Salton Sea

Here's my impromptu review from the Hangar:

I couldn't find At Close Range but I did find a film I've been looking for, for the past 2 years straight: The Salton Sea. Well, we've all got different tastes but I really, really enjoyed this movie! Gritty and artistic: Spun meets Heat meets Requiem for a Dream. Not that good but it comes close to some of the elements of those films. The Thomas Newman soundtrack and some of the visuals are outstanding. Val Kilmer cooler and acting better than in a long time (OK nothing replaces Mad Martigan or Doc Holiday) and if I listed the cast it would really blow you away!

Vincent Donofrio as Pooh Bear must be seen to be believed. run or drive to your video store and rent this excellent movie.

Yeh, i saw this a while ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. A seriously different kind of movie though.

Holy zark! They're showing this on regular TV (like the old WB)...god this movie is so damm cool!

Movie reminded me a little of Memento. More than a touch of the surreal.

I just looked up the soundtrack, which I think I'll order from amazon, as far as I can tell that last song is Let Forever Be
