i have to join in...mostly because Syl directed me here to the Watch and this is the most fun i've had in ages!! (yes, i know, get a life Lucimay)
and because he's thoughtful, insightful, fair-minded, intensely smart, interesting, and funny.
(also, i'm convinced he's a Bridgeburner!)
Stand and be true, Gunslinger!

where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

Ah, so he's the troublemaker responsible for bringing you here, Lucimay.Lucimay wrote:i have to join in...mostly because Syl directed me here to the Watch and this is the most fun i've had in ages!! (yes, i know, get a life Lucimay)

I've already praised Syl elsewhere, so I'll just sit back with my milk and cookies and let the rest of you fawn over him.

Oh, man. You guys rock. I'm honored and humbled. Seriously. And it was nothing none of you wouldn't have done, I'm sure (I mean, look at Danlo and letting Watchers stay at his house (or organizing the Dissection... is it any wonder he's Watcher of the Year?), or MatrixMan, Dragonlily, and them doing the anthology, and many others...).
Just making me realize that we are all one big... family. Community just doesn't do it. You don't always like everyone in a community, feel any sense of belonging, I guess. Family can argue over Thanksgiving dinner (unless that's just my family) and still be family.
Ok, now I'm getting verklempt. Talk amongst yourselves.
Thanks, guys. You make it all worth it... whatever that means.

"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

You're right though, Kevinswatch is an amazing place... Nearly everyone fits in; and gets on very well.

Though I don't fit in...

In which case...

You fit in just fine, Darth. If anything, you're the kid we tease by telling him he was adopted.

SYl, it was an excellent job. And you do rock for doing it! Thanks for a job well done.

to test a man's character, give him power.

Excerpt from Animal Songs Never Written
"Hey, dad," croaked the vulture, "what are you eating?"
"Carrion, my wayward son."
"Will there be pieces when you are done?"
