Those graduate school applications are never going to get finished... Heh.

Anyway, none of the links on the page work, and the layout and all of the images are just temporary. But I was just curious to see how a "Gap" version of the Watch would look. My ultimate plan is to turn it into a full Gap site.-jay

Looks pretty good Jay, the duller links could do with a better contrast against the black, but otherwise, I like it. (I take it that the site will still link back to the Watch for the discussions though, right? ;) )

When I saw it, I said, why are Covenant and Linden exploring a strange planet in their bathrobes? But then I said, oh, and then I said, cool. :)

Oh yeah, I forgot to say, I encourage people to offer their comments and especially their suggestions for how the layout should look for the Gap page. I'd like for it to have the same general structure as the current Watch layout, but the colors and images can change. So if you have any ideas for colors or images, please let me know.

Heh, yeah, that logo image with Covenant and Linden was just an old header image that Vain used for a short time here on the message board. I thought it looked pretty cool, but it would probably have to change. Like I said though, most of the images on there now are just temporary.

Yeah, this new site will still use the same message board. And I'm thinking of even keeping it under the same name and domain, "Kevin's Watch." Although I'll probably start brainstorming Gap related names for the new site. But my idea was to have the two sites (The Watch and the Gap site) to be sort of complimentary sister sites, where you can go back and forth between the two pretty easily. Where the Watch has all of the stuff relating to Covenant, we can start putting Gap stuff (like book covers and things) on the Gap site. So the two sites will be independant from each other except for the message board and domain, which they'll share.

I was just thinking that the Gap series is LONG overdue for it's own website. Heh.-jay

Totally agree, Jay. A major -- and much neglected -- series as the Gap deserves more attention. I mean, if The Wheel of Time can have its own site, then why not the Gap?

All I have to suggest is to keep the dark look, to distinguish it from this Watch, and because dark is just plain cool. :)

Great job, looks really good.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Well, some brutal language might be a refreshing change from the "family-friendly" decorum of the Watch.

(Of course, keeping in mind that part of what makes KW a welcoming place on the Net is that we try to keep the worst kind of language from being used here.)

Very cool, Jay. Now we can waste precious study time coming up with quotes of the week and lists of stuff, and uploading fanart (come on, artists, show us what you've got). :P
