What food/drink won't you share?

Post by High Lord Tolkien »

What food/drink won't you share?
Or do you not share under any circumstances?

I doubt anyone has a problem sharing french fries with someone since it's an individual fry being seperated from the rest but what about the type of sharing where you allow someone to take a bite out of your sandwich or drink from your glass?

My wife is the only one I would ever think of sharing food (say a sandwich) with like that and even then it I'd only finish what she couldn't eat. Not each take a bite.

Although we've even done that say at dinner in a restraunt.
We each sample each other's meal during the night.

I have no problem sharing drinks with her either.
EXCEPT MILK!
After 19 years together I still refuse to share my glass of milk with anyone on the planet Earth.
And cereal too.
I'll throw it away first.

I don't even like to share food with my kids.
The germ carrying little monsters!!

What do you share and what have you shared and what can't you believe you shared?

Anybody ever shared a piece of gum? :hairs:

I would share anything with my wife and kids,I mean do way more intimate stuff with my wife than share food, and 50% of the kids genetic makeup came from me(via the intimate stuff with my wife). But they are the only people that I would eat after period!

Sharing food doesn't bother me, I'm well aware that we live among millions of bacteria and stuff, that it lives on our very skin.

I don't like to share biltong though, but that's only because I'm mean and greedy. I want it all.

Yup, I only share with the wife and daughter.

I have to agree with Cail since I'm in the same situation.

I do not mind sharing food or drink, as long as the person I am sharing with does not have a nasty cold or other easily communicable disease. Though I would prefer that they cut off or otherwise seperate the food they wish to have, and put it on their own plate, and eat it with their own fork. :) (ie. cut off part of the sandwich and eat it; don't just take a big bite out of the sandwich and hand it back  )

Some foods, such as stir fries, beg to be shared between many people. :D 8)

The only reason I wouldn't share food with someone would be if it were really freakin' good and I was just being greedy.

My boyfriend used to HATE, HATE eating with me because I'd always want a bite of whatever he had. Eventually I wore him down and he just hands it over if I so much as look at him the right way  He realized that I take little bites (comparatively speaking) so it doesn't really bother him now.

I'll share with most anyone and pretty much anything... even chewed gum if I'm desperate enough. *shrug*

share food!!?? this is an alien concept to me..... what do I get out of it?
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

Truthfully though, I won't share tuna, I love it. Recently been eating about 6 or 7 cans a week.

I share all food/drink, saliva covered or not, with my son. Except single malt whisky. Mum won't let him taste the good stuff, so he's stuck with blended (yuck!)

Isn't it amazing what we let those little bastards get away with?
My 3yo son can reach in and take food out of my mouth and I think it's funny.
It's only hours later when I see him sticking his hands in his diaper that I'm like:
:hairs:

I also let both my kids sip from my beer bottle.
Neither likes it so it rarely happens.
I don't want them thinking it's anything special or "forbidden".
Because we all know how attractive that makes something!!
