Twizzlers

Post by Worm of Despite »

Love em? Hate em? What's your favorite kind?! I praise the berry-flavored pull-n-peel variety. So big and juciy!

Twizzlers are indispensible when at the movie theatre. And they're fat free!

I prefer the original Twizzlers to the rope-twisted ones. Even so, you can get a good batch and a bad batch. A bad batch is too hard to chew. A good batch is soft and smells good.

It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

i don't understand the vast amount of sour candy that is popular. of course i don't like milk chocolate either. may not be the best judge of what should be popular.

Y&S Candies, the manufacturers of TWIZZLERS candy, is one of the oldest confectionery firms in the United States. The company was established in 1845 as Young and Smylie and adopted Y&S as its trademark in 1870. National Licorice Company was created in 1902 through the merger of three small firms: Young & Smylie, S.V. & F.P. Schudder and H.W. Petherbridge. The company changed its name to Y&S Candies Inc. in 1968 and was acquired by Hershey Foods in 1977.

Today TWIZZLERS candy is available in a variety of flavors and styles. Y&S produces strawberry, true black licorice, cherry, and chocolate flavored licorice-style candy.

I'll get Twizzlers at the movie theater, but only when there are not Hot Tamales available.

So it's non-licorice flavoured licorice? Weird. I like licorice though. Thanks Sgt.

How about "Swedish Fish"?
I love 'em.
And I've sung the "fish head" song every time I've eaten them for at least the last 15 years.

And Avatar, Twizzlers are licorice only in the loosest sense.
Just barely chewy, imo.

Meh, I always thought Red Vines were second-rate. I'll join in hurking over black licorice, though.
