Hey Flytrap, Did the words really leap out at you too, I thought Owen was making some sort Of Joke and there was going to be some sort of reference to Thomas Covenant.

I actually posted a message in the gradual interview yesterday Informing SRD In case he wasn't aware. I love Torchwood but credit should go where credit is due and if SRD is uncredited it just isn't right not to mention putting a false translation on the words of Power. It might take a while before ...

SRD only said "the old Lords would be revisited" this most likely will take place in the telling of a tale not any actual time travel, besides it would take a series of time travel's to revisit all the old lords as they existed over a couple of thousand years. Berek is berek, otherwise he ...

I enjoyed Eragon, haven't read Eldest so can't comment, but I found Eragon as original as any other fantasy novel, for a piece of work written by a sixteen year old it can be considered quite good. But then I never let critisizm get in the way of a good read.

Here's an off the wall idea, no more so than any of the others here sofar though, If the Haruchai gave her the title, The Mahdoubt, and Liand puts forward that it is a title more so than a name, It could be literal, The mother of Doubt, and that could be taken literally as the mother of the person w...

Hardcover internal consistency

Recently SRD said on the GI in reply to TOM 01/22/06 "As evidence, I need only cite the problems of internal consistency in the hardcover edition of “The Runes of the Earth”. " I have only read the hardcover version but didn't notice any internal consistency problems, does anyone know exac...

Something else, because we just don't have enough information yet, sure their are clues but not enough yet to do anything but blindly guess, I'll wait for more clues before I post anything more descriptive than something else, at this point in time only SRD knows and maybe even he doesn't know the w...

The fact that SD pointed out the missing Giantships and not somebody on the GI leads me to believe he has an answer as to what happened to them, the possabilitys are as endless as SD's imagination. Imagine caught in a ceisure and popping up in the story fully laden with giants of old.

The question above that one the author Stephen says "thanks for the news about the 2nd book" is this a reference to SD earlier saying he was coming along with the book or has their been a release date put up somewhere that I've misssed.

But if your read as fast as you type I'd suggest you slow down and read the book again. I agree with Danlo, anyone who finds this book lacking needs to read it again. Their is so much in this book it requires a second reading and even then theirs more, anyone that says nothing happens hasn't really...

I think the conclusion is inescapable. Linden herself 'lost' the Staff by removing it from the place where Anele had hidden it.
But she didn't, the waynhim removed it.

I don't think Linden's removal of the staff from the past had any effect other than saving all those waynhim from being destroyed by it one buy one gradually over the next 2 and half odd thousand years. I mean it was allready missing and probablly could have easily been recovered without going into ...

To me Runes is some of Donaldson's best work to date, he has matured incredibly as a writer but it still holds that Donaldson magic, I think all you guys that are a little disappointed just aint reading it right. The Wounded Land was always my favourite until now, I bought TWL the day it was release...

I like Lord Foul Best of all, but its not a choice, I wonder if he was called lord foul while he was on the council of lords or if it came after he was cast out and if the latter what was he called when he was on the council.
