You know, I used to be one of theose people that really questioned Brady's actual impact, and while he was no doubt a quality player, I wasn't inclined to agree with him being an elite player, and figured he was a product of a system, and being surrounded by a great defense, and a team concept. Unfo...

But Davis knows how to keep his head down and shoulders squared, one flashy move by Bush and it could be all over. The same could be said of any player. I think that anytime there is a dynamic player, there is a tendency to forget he has played football all his life. :D Bush is a game breaker, but ...

Maybe it's the thought of Bush going to the Texans that scares me--I think Carr's a better QB than he's made out to be, but Houston's O line looks like Beetlejuice's teeth-if they don't improve Bush and Carr could have very short seasons. Don't get me wrong. The Texans are hamstrung by the media bl...

Broncos traded the #22 pick for San Francisco's 2nd and third round pick. think McGinest and Washington are near the end. Chronicle reports that Bush asked the Texans for way too much money and they are talking with mario Williams to force the asking price down on Bush. While Mcginest may be on the ...

I just want to make a note about Mario Williams (The NC State DE who will o top 5). He went to high school 15 minutes down the road from where I did (although he is yougner than I am). Let me tell you, this kid is an absolute beast . You wouldn't think someone that big is as in shape is he is, he is...

Big draft junkie here. I'm hoping that somebody really messes up and chooses to reach on Cutler, and another player, so we can get in on a fairly decent draft class that has 7 Blue Chippers (my team Detroit , sit at #9). If not give me Mike Huff S/Cb from Texas, unless we trade down (which I'm hopin...

I don't have a preference. Quality is important; chosen format not really. That said I don't really care about having to wait for subsequent installments in a series, as there are plenty of great books out there being published and already pulished to fill in that time, that probably exceed the qual...

' m only two chapters into Shriek, and I just want to say how good this is so far. The characterization of Janice Shriek, carried through the narration, is brilliant even this early in - the writing grandiose and melodramatic, and wonderfully offset by Duncan's interjections. The sense that she writ...

All I know is that Entertainment Weekly gave it an A, my local newspaper (the Kansas City Star) gave it a top-notch review, I believe Publishers Weekly and Kirkus did likewise, and there are nothing but 5-stars from the amazon folks. That was enough to make me think it was something out of the ordi...

I'm reading the critically acclaimed His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik. I liked this book, but I'm not aware of any critic (by critic I'm refering to the 8-10 reviewers whose opinions are worth a damn regarding the genre) who has lauded it in major way that it could be called 'critically acclaime...

I forgot the exact name of the series, but I kinda liked the one where Thanos destroyed the Multiverse!! The Thanos Quest (2 part sequence), The Infinity Gauntlent (6 part series) and later followed by The Infinity War (which was about Magus). The Silver surfer is one of my favorite characters peri...

Right now I'm reading Jeffrey Ford's second collection Empire of Ice Cream which is thus far magnificent, and finishing up Stephen Baxter's Emperor (which will be out in July) which a really nice Baxter project, from a writer who usually delivers with either brilliance, or is a bit uneven (even with...
