Frankly I think SRD doesn't mention many animals because Covenant can't tell them to not touch him.

Foul; Seerer, Prophet or both?

As I work my way through the first series again I am struck by a rather interesting question. Is foul akin to Berek in that he is both Seer and prophet? Frankly I would say he has to be. We are speaking of a man who doesn't plan only in years or decades. Every deal anyone seems to make goes badly in...

I am a security officer at a mail order pharmacy.

Although they are letting us all go at the end of the month (company wide) so I don't know if I will be working for the contract company or someone else. . . I hope for the someone else.

Well I guess I missed the part where I should have come here first and given a hello. So, a bit late, here I am. Lets see. I am, at current, a 29 year old man from Ohio. I started reading Covenant back in Junior high. I got the books from my fathers collection (and perhaps someday he will get them b...

The Official Gilden-Fire thread.

I was wondering how many here have a copy and/or have read Gilden Fire. I am now re-reading LFB (my yearly re-reading of the entire series) and I was wondering what others thought about it, about how it fits in the rest of the series and finally about SRD's reasons for taking it out. (For those who ...

A short but funny story to go with my name here. Years ago I was playing on a mud and someone told me I had to change my name from Elohim. Unknown to me it is a name for god. So I cast about and found an old book on greek myths that I had gotten in my early school years. I flipped to the letter of m...

Thank you all for the replies.

I have had the good fortune to have a few friends who I have been able to show the joys of TC. Add to that my father is a long time fan.

Now, here in the next few days, I shall entroduce my girlfriend to the works and see what she thinks.

Peoples reactions to Covenant

Hello I do hope this hasn't been spoken of before, if it has I shall do away with this post. What I wanted to speak of was how amazingly this series seems to divide people. People I have met either love it or hate it and, to today, I have yet to meet anyone who says its kind of ok or not so good. Ha...

One must wonder though why they chose to let their weak die rather than do as other humans and wear animal furs for warmth. I too don't remember that, but that being said. . . Make one member of the pack weak and the entire pack is weakened. . . not putting on clothes would be just one way of keepi...

I had a white gold ring when I was married and, should it happen again, I will do so again.
