What about us tailor/enchanters though? Are we going to have special attacks with needles and pixie dust?

I think the game launched in November 2004 and Arathi Basin (the third BG) had just been launched when I started playing in September 2005. At that point, there was still enough World PvP going on in general for me to get a good taste of it. I remember some tumultuous battles that would roll between...

I'm in full-on, schizophrenic reading mode at the moment. I'm currently partway through the following: The Twin - Gerbrand Bakker Deja Dead - Cathy Reichs Crime and Punishment - Dostoevsky The First Gotrek and Felix Omnibus - William King The Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde The Star Fraction - ...

I think I made it to revered and then I had enough money for my epic flyer (I already halfway there when they opened up Quel'Danas) and I haven't done a single one since. I was also doing it purely for the money, so I didn't bother doing the one that gets you extra rep for 10g. It's just Netherwing ...

There are still some situations where cell phones most definitely cannot be used in hospitals. My sister is a paediatric intensive care nurse and they have to make sure nobody brings a phone on to the ward, as they can interfere with some of the many pieces of monitoring equipment that the kids are ...

Nice, didn't think they'd be inviting so soon. The opt-in only opened recently, did you do that, or was there another reason they picked you (ie, were you in the BC beta, or something)? I did the opt-in, wasn't lucky enough to get in the BC beta, although I knew people who did. I've been in the Foo...

Well I was having another mini-break from WoW (fatigued from farming Netherwing Rep) when what did I find in my email inbox this morning, but an invitation to the Wrath of the Lich King beta testing! They can consider me re-enthused! According to the email, the testing is scheduled to go on until 31...

I just found that without the scanner, I became acutely aware that the camera was very rarely in the position I needed it to be. I think it was the way (I think, It's a long time since I played) that it forced you into first person whenever you were prone that ruined it for me, since you needed to s...

I used to work with a Dr Healy, sadly she's better known by her married name of Dr Kate McCann.

I can only guess she'd never seen Twin Peaks, the thing we couldn't get over was that it wasn't her married name; Mr and Mrs Pye actually chose to call their daughter Cherry. They have a law in France that allows the state to sue parents who choose an inappropriate name for their child and a couple ...

I used to work with a nurse called Cherry Pye, we used to make "mighty fine" jokes all the time but she never got it.

The com dialogue between Raiden and Rose gets pretty ridiculous towards the end of the game, but hey, it's MGS. I found myself mashing 'X' through the majority of it. I thought the gameplay was best in MGS2, I never got to grips with 3. I just don't think the game mechanic works without the scanner.

I'm really looking forward to this, I never played Diablo 2 but I know it's really my kind of thing. I don't imagine we'll see it before 2010, so hopefully I'll have upgraded my PC by then.

Spore is one of the new breed of games which recognises that ever-increasing system reqs are forcing more and more people (and therefore potential customers) out of PC gaming, so it should be fairly easy going. I'd imagine that if your PC can play WoW then it'll be fine with Spore and if it can run ...

It's actually not that demanding, the procedural nature of the game means a strong processor is needed but the video requirements are quite generous. Processor 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent RAM XP: 512 MB / Vista: 768 MB Graphics card 128 MB with support for Pixel Shader 2.0 Hard disk drive spa...

We have a test like that every Monday morning at 10am, it's the system at the Broadmoor Hospital which lets people know when an inmate has escaped. Broadmoor holds the likes of Robert Maudsley, Kenneth Erskine, Peter Sutcliffe and Ian Brady, so the alarm is a pretty big deal. We're right on the firi...

Some great interpretations going around in here, the Sandgorgons remain my favourite of all the creatures we meet in TCTC, I love any example of form following function and the way Nom was described always screamed that to me. My actual vision of what Nom looks like however, has been heavily influen...

I'm still pissed about the latest occurrence of the family's holiday curse. When we were younger there was a tradition in our family, that the week before any family holiday somebody would die, get cancer or suffer a grisly accident. It didn't happen every single year, but certainly every two times ...
