Calais wrote:The Sunrise Court is banding together to intimidate and bully unaligned gods.
Such calumny is ill-suited to come from the lips of a Goddess. Were these demands being issued by a god of another alignment, the response would be the same.

And I argue that the response of O-gon-cho to uKulwa's aggression is of little import beside the aggression itself. You seem to believe that a god may make such demands of the world's inhabitants by right of strength alone; I say that when that god's intent is to bring War against them, then he has ...

These believers follow us of their own free will. Should they dislike how they are being led, they can leave their worship. Yet this is entirely my point: Those he is making demands of are not his followers, they have not chosen to follow him. They have, in fact, chosen another entirely to follow. ...

It is not her own rights that should be considered, but those of the mortals who have chosen to follow her. The Lord of War has demanded that they leave their homelands or convert to his worship, and implies the same ultimatum for all others who live within the southern half of Imray. One cannot arg...

My limbs stretch and pull hard against the air and I drag the world beneath me, sweep by sweep black feathers draw the world backwards as I hang suspended. Peaks rush toward me, pass under and retreat into distance, while I am still, calm--the centre, the still point around which all the world flows...

And before you comment again young one ... I may be newly arrived in Eiran; but I am older than your mind can comprehend. I am as old as L ife. You are truly an arrogant one. Even I do not deny that I am newly called to existence from this world's desire for peace. Life may call for champion or war...

God of Life, while you did not state that precise meaning in your words, your statements presupposed ownership just as clearly, when you conflated the term "The Shattered Lands" with "my cities" . You asked if any other god laid claim to the Shattered Lands. I state here now what...

I hereby give notice: I intend to convert the Shattered Lands! While I will not object to others' followers living in my cities; and will offer them L ife's support if they ask, I announce my intent now to allow any who object to my plans to comment. Does any other deity claim the Shattered Lands? ...

Among the stark mountain peaks, cold dominates. It spears the flesh, slides its needles along limbs, sears with a pain far sharper than that which fire brings. To breathe is to fill the lungs with ice. At this height, nothing lives. For the living, cold is death, and the mountaintops are held pure, ...

Hark to me, Fallen Ones, as the time is upon you when you shall be elevated once more, in the service of Peace. Hark, and learn of the task I would give to you, to lead all the peoples of the world upon the true path.

Crime, Disease, and now Pain. I grow surer that the Court I have chosen is the right one; the potential of the Sunset Court for Peace diminishes as their number grows. I can hope that this superficial impression will prove an incorrect one, but I hold little optimism on the subject.

Ah, peace. The peace of perfect stillness--a temptation indeed. But I suppose I am sentimental: inharmonious as these creatures may be, still I feel that something might be made of them, if they are guided with a strong hand. The void will come, in time--and perhaps a day will come on which I welcom...

Siblings? I would not go so far. I make every attempt to treat with you as equals, but some are so blind to the true path that I can only pity their ignorance and hope that they might grow to realise their folly, children that they are. As for yourself, nameless one, I despair for the people of this...

I can see, Bel, that you and I are going to have some interesting conversations considering that nature is rarely peaceful. Heh. Nature knows Peace, in its own way. It is those possessed of conscious souls who sow discord, and must be shown the correct path. Perhaps you need instruction in these ma...
