Disintigrate does 2d6 damage per level. If they die, the body is totally destroyed. They can't be raised from the dead. True Ressurection could bring them back, but that's it.

The ring will be awesome in three levels. I can't cast 6th level spells, yet. At 15th level, I can cast Disintigrate twice as many times.
