Covenant's impotence, as I see it, is a symbol of his initial, powerless state. When he is translated to the Land, he has power - the white gold - even though he doesn't know it. Hence, he is no longer impotent. But Covenant is unaware of his wild magic power, heedless of it, and would have no idea...

I am. Are we friends there yet?
I don't know, heh. I'm friends with a lot of Watchers on there but I'm not seeing your name.

Peter, just go to Goodreads.com and sign up. It's a really great website and I've found so many good books.

You guys know what I mean. It's kind of like the 3rd Chrons - no one changed after 2,000. I'm not even close to the same person I was 30 years ago. Now I'm almost expecting the donuts on Leia's hair!

I love what Abrams did with ST. I thought most everyone agreed. This looks freakin cool. I love the retro SW look. Same here. I love the new Star Treks. I think the casting is inspired. I'm totally pumped to see the new SW but my only criticism is that Han is still wearing the same clothing and wea...

I was thinking the same thing, Jen!!! But John Snow would know the real one, if the show followed the books. Murrin, I also don't recall Varys travelling with Tyrion at all from the books but here is an article that discusses what changed from the book in last night's episode: www.vox.com/2015/4/19/...

Just started TD on HBO Now (didn't know it was on Netflix!) I'm totally hooked! I've watched about 5 of the episodes. The bromance is the best aspect of the series so far. I think Matthew McCaughney (however you spell his name) is really fantastic!

GOT is back! I enjoyed the season premier. Anytime Varys gets screentime, it's a good thing. Agreed. My two favorite characters together. It will be interesting to see how that storyline plays out in the series. Its been so long since I read the books that I had forgotton that Varys accompanied Tyr...

I planned on doing a write up but I wanted to wait until after the turn deadline. Of course, I could always do a little here, a little there. Goodness knows, I'm rusty at this.

I'm all for posting, posting, posting. With a new game starting, it should be fairly easy. For as long as I've been here, I should have far more posts.
