I realize I'm a bit late to the game, but I have enjoyed Kevin's Watch Forum since I started the Last Chronicles in October.
I first read the First and Second Chronicles in the early - mid 80's. I reread the First Chronicles about 12 years ago. But I have been putting off the Last Chronicles for quite some time--partly due to their length, and partly due to the fact that when I first attempted "Runes" in 2009, I gave up during Linden's escape from Mithil Stonedown. Too much time had passed, and I realized I'd need to reread the Second Chronicles before reading the Last. Seven books seemed too long.
But I took the plunge this past summer, and averaged 1 book per month until this past Tuesday, when I finished TLD. I'm so glad I did.
I've also read Mordant's Need twice. These are probably my favorite SRD books, although choosing between those and The Chronicles is a bit like choosing between homemade apple pie and homemade cherry pie.
I read the Gap series. Enjoyed them well enough, but not enough to read them again.
All in all, I've read 17 of SRD's books.
Now I'm in withdrawal!
Anyway, I'm glad I found my way here.

Hail and welcome, Pastor Tim!
I'm a huge fan of Mordant's Need, and consider it my favorite SRD work, truth be told. But I love the Chronicles and SRD's short story collections a lot, too. The Gap? Well, I was taken aback by the brutality in the first book, but members such as Savor Dam, Avatar, StevieG, and others were good enough to talk me into continuing reading them, and I'm glad I finished it, because it was certainly worth it!

Reave the Just and Other Tales
The Man Who Killed His Brother
The Man Who Risked His Partner
The Man Who Tried To Get Away
The Man Who Fought Alone (my personal favorite of SRD's mystery series)
and SRD's relatively new release (came out last October): The King's Justice (which contains the fantasy novellas mentioned above by Menolly--I've bought it, but haven't got around to reading it, yet).
All these works are discussed in the forum General SRD Discussion and Other Works (but beware looking into the threads concerning these books if you haven't read them yet, for you will likely encounter SPOILERS!!!
You don't want THAT, lol).
As for the basically non-Donaldson parts of the Watch, here's some other areas you may be interested in:

The Galley - cooking/beverages
Vespers - music appreciation

Thanks for the responses! In answer to some queries from above:
Yes, I actually am a pastor. Have been for about 16 years now; 8 months with a new congregation.
I've read "Daughter of Regals" and "Reave the Just." But it's been a while. If memory serves, I really enjoyed some of the stories, and was lukewarm on some of the others. But people certainly view my sermons in the same way!
I may reread the Gap series sometime. I enjoyed it well enough when I read it, but haven't felt the need to go back. It was a bit dark in places for my tastes, as I recall.
I think I will take the plunge into some of SRD's other works, especially the old "Reed Stevens" novels. But maybe I'll start with The King's Justice, just to be reading something somewhat "hot off the press," which I haven't done since volume 2 of "Mordant's Need" was published. I read that one as a Sophomore in high school, and it's the only SRD book I've ever read in hard cover. My parents gave it to me for my birthday.

If you wish to plunge into non-SRD books, lots of people hereabouts have read Dark Tower, Malazan, or Song of Ice and Fire serieses. You could find some discussions on those.
The Riddlemaster series, by Patricia McKillip, is more in the vein of sharing similarities with the Chronicles. McKillip dedicates one of the books to Donaldson, and Donaldson discusses this series a bit in his paper Epic Fantasy in the Modern World (available on his website). Donaldson seems to feel that they share the same fundamental idea of what fantasy should be. Anyway ... there's some threads about it, and some fans around.

I love most of those short stories, but a few of them ("The Lady In White", "The Conqueror Worm", "The Djinn Who Watches Over The Accursed", "The Kings Of Tarshish Shall Bring Gifts", and "What Makes Us Human") I didn't like very much.
