I have no hope of catching up with any of you three. I will hit 9K this weekend though. It's nigh and whatnot.

Grats on 15K. :P

Most of my milestones have passed without fanfare, but there's an achievement for 9K. At least, there is in WoW, so it stands to reason that it's noteworthy in other places. Probably not here, but I'll find out soon.

I prefer a few posts with high impact. Volume begets monotony or, worse, irritation.

I am quite possibly a monotonous irritation. Though I rather hope not, as that sounds like something one would need ointment for.

Unfortunately it also implies a lack of interest in interacting with one's fellow members just for the heck of it. But I understand what you mean and we're all here for different reasons.
My intentions are to spend time having fun for fun's sake. It doesn't have to be eloquent, deeply meaningful or critically important but often times even the most random post could be of value to another watcher. We also live in a time when site activity is far less than it used to be and I like participating a little extra to boost interest just a little bit. The watch has given me so much I don't mind giving back.

Agreed. As I've said elsewhere, sometimes I just throw stuff at the walls to see what sticks in the hope of starting a conversation or keeping one going. It doesn't always work, but there's no harm done.

Excellent points. I suppose it's a stylistic thing. I know what works for me.

Nothing really wrong with that at all, aTOMiC! For myself, seeing as it was Stephen R. Donaldson's website that brought me to the Watch (when I clicked on "Discussion", here I arrived!), commenting on his writings remains my main interest in posting on this site, and I like using quotes from his work in some of my posts in hopes it makes for more entertaining reading for others. I like looking for ways to contribute to variety in Vespers and the Loresraat, as well. I'm usually not very big on posting a lot in "Mallorys", but sometimes I just can't resist.

Pfft! Who cares about posting fast?

I've been here longer than most of you.

That's what counts!

I've been here almost as long MM and I have to confess that posting fast is awesome.

3.92 - which took 5 times longer to achieve than 3.91. :-)
