I think most of my guild has it memorized and once one person starts quoting... It's fun though.

Wut?!? Say it ain't so, Joe. ;)

Rocky is an exemplar of the "Triumph of the Human Spirit" category executed in a classically American idiom.

It's got it all. Thrills, exultation, schmaltz and even Eye of the Tiger (though I get ahead of myself, here).

Actually, it's Rocky Horror Picture Show, at least that I was quoting.
I don't know if that's what you were referring to Av, but if you've not seen it as a midnight movie with all the naughty silly people involved, I can completely understand the sentiment. The movie itself is a stinkpile with arguably good music at times. It was exactly what teenage me needed to get out of the house on weekends and flirt with girls when I was too young to go to bars. It is more fun to be a part of than it is to sit idly by and watch it.

Yeah. Shoulda gotten that from Sorus' post. Rocky may be a great movie, though not exactly a quotable group event.

I've always thought that Little Shop of Horrors should be held in similar regard as RHPS (especially since the original, tragic ending has been restored), but to no avail.

Hello everyone. I just finished the first and second chronicles for the third time and found you by Googling 'why do the Elohim want Vain to fail', whereupon I found a fantastic discussion here about that very thing.

I'm about to read the last chronicles for the first time. I'm not sure why I waited so long.

I can't believe I didn't know about this forum before! The chronicles have been hugely important in my life. Naturally my wedding ring is white gold!

A Scot! :D (Where's Phantasm? And Edinburghemma?) Welcome aboard Cams, always good to "see" a new face. :D Stay out of the Last Chrons forums for a while though, there be spoilers.

Plenty else to talk about here though, so take a look around and join in any(every)where. :D

 Hello Cams and Kizza. Hope I haven't missed anyone! I've been away for a while.

The Return of the Ping

Post by guest2018 »

Hey ho

I used kevinswatch way back in 2008 as a means to contact a very old friend. A shot in the dark really, ultimately proving too difficult. I don't have the patience or the temperament to bandy words and beat around the bush.

A social network specific to this sort of thing hadn't previously worked out. Lines of communication were being cut and it got downright weird. As a matter of fact a newspaper company from my hometown bought the media site and then closed it down. I read somewhere something about online bullying, but it was only business though it took me a while to move on.

Anyway I'm just here to 'ping' a friend, hope you don't mind ...
