The recruitment has been ongoing for two to three months. The dbs (background check) actually goes through the gov.uk website.
It almost feels like an unemployment consensus. And if unemployed and not currently living under a rock, my guess is you could find yourself getting a hefty boot up the arse.
Oh .. hopefully youre not living under a rock then
Yeah recruitment processes they want so much these days ..long gone are the days of just rocking up and acing it .. and being the same directed to start.
I didnt realise till applying for a govie job that the document I had was not a birth certificate at all. Course I was born in Selkirk UK and couldnt just pop down the road and get a proper one .. LOL so had to apply to the UK and then wait for it to get to me in Australia that held everything up big time oh well ... what can you do?
keep smiling
'Smoke me a kipper .. I'll be back for breakfast!'
Also, glad you're around!
Back when you'd made the guest2018 I'd wanted to drop in somewhere and say hi.
So that was not completely ruined for me.
Also, I had no idea that Krazy Kat was someone who would show up again!
Cool.
Except now whenever I hear "Lazy Luke" or "Krazy Kat," I think of a little ditty of a taunt song from The Hobbit that goes:
"Lazy Lob and Crazy Cob / are weaving webs to wind me..."
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor
"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
-Elisabeth Elliot, Preface, "A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael"
