Hi Everyone.
I sorta just have to say wow about now.
About once a year for a while now, I'd do a Yukon Cornelius: toss a "Stephen R. Donaldson" into the old Google, look at what came up, mumble "nuthin", and move on.
Last week, there was something. I stumbled into Kevins Watch, of course. Within a short time, I stumbled into The Final Chronicles, and then I stumbled into stephenrdonaldson.com, and then I stumbled into the gradual interview, and Elohimfest ... an awful lot to stumble into in a short period of time; my head hurts.
In a good way.
Don't look for lots of posts from me - I can't always keep up with a board. And also I usually don't post unless I have something meaningful to add to a conversation anyway.
Friendly comments and directions are accepted with good grace.

P.S. It was hard coming up with a username (but I like the one I picked). I'm not one for naming myself after a character. And besides, my name in RL is Kevin - there's a conundrum! But I hope this one has an acceptible flavor.

Welcome, Wayfriend - I can see that it would all be a bit overwhelming for you I was wondering just the other day if we would ever have a member called Kevin...and here you are!
Posting wisely and in moderation is a good start, but don't be afraid to make yourself at home, metaphorically rummaging through the fridge and putting your feet on the sofa Tom C and dAN can help you with that

Well I'd say my story is about the same as Wayfriend's I wandered over to google today looking up some information on the series and came across KevinsWatch.com. I've been browsing aound here today and figured I'd register on the forums.
I've forgotten how many times I've reread both chronicles now, I think I've read it close to once a year since around 93ish when I first ran across the series in my local library. All this looking around has made me feel the need to go digging out my copy of the series and start rereading again :/
As for going by the name Hergrom well I'm a gamer I've been recreating characters named Hergrom in various MMORPG's for some years now starting with Everquest then later to Anarchy-Online and currently in City of Heroes with some other ones scattered inbetween.
Now I think I'll go looking around some more and see what I can see.

Hi nice to meet ya!!
Hello all, after much coarcing by my sister (bird and bear) I decided to check out this site. Although I may not have read all his works, I am an avid donaldson fan. I loved the Covenant books and would like to meet people who share my enthusiasm for reading. I am a father of 5 and am currently under the task of making my children read the potter books. If you feel up to the task of cracking this ignorant walnut, post me.
