Hello all of you people. Just finished White Gold Wielder for the first time last night, and I am honestly still shell-shocked.
To explain myself, I am 18 years old and just started my freshman year of college. My Dad is a HUGE fan of the chrons, and finally managed to get me to read the series. (He has been trying ever since he failed when I was 11)
I did read Mordant's need a long time ago and LOVED it. I think I was 12 at the time. Dad gave them to me after his failure to get me on covenant. (to be fair, I DID make it to the middle of Illearth War, my 11 year old patience just ran out.) After reading Mordant's need again this summer, I decided it was time to tackle Covenant again.
I was absolutely stunned with the emotional depth of these novels, and am still reeling inwardly with all the subtle emotional nuances and philosophical ideas. (man I can get wordy when I sing praise, brings out the self-hate in me.)
Anyway, I decided to tackle the boards to start discussing these works and asking questions about books that no one I know BUT my father was read.
Well, hello Kevinswatch.com
P.S. Man was I surprised to learn my dad actually posts on this forum under the name MHOrgel. Go fig.
