Hi guys and gals! It's your resident Despiser! I just wanted to say that if you're new and feel left out/not part of the Clique, well, don't worry! We love new folks (they go good with ketchup), so don't be afraid to participate in any thread or say what you feel.

And don't think others don't care what you say just cause you only have 10 posts and your name doesn't glow. Hey, my title doesn't glow. I'm not ashamed of it.

Also, don't be afraid to ask for help if you feel really lost--you know, like you're wandering in the woods late at night and can't see (I do that a lot). Cause, well, if you don't ask for help when you need it, you end up like me. There's some motivation.

LOL. End up like you? You should have seen Lord Foul when he got here.

Really, mods like Foul and also the normal-sounding ones including me are available to answer questions. We know this is a huge board (I was daunted myself when I came) and we can help you find your way around.

Hi, Lord Foul. I'm a newb and am wondering what precautions I could take so I'll never become like you. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Just wanted to add my greetings to any new folk, and repeat DragonLily's assurance that we're more than happy to help anybody out.

For my sins, I moderate Hile Troy's Think Tank, which you can find under The Collective. We pretty much discuss any socio-political, jurisprudential and environmental issues there, as well as anything else you can come up with. Feel like solving global dilemmas? Pay us a visit. All opinions welcome ;)

Drop me (or any Mod) a PM if you have a specific (or general) question that you can't find an answer to, and we'll do our best. I'm on-board every weekday, from about 04h30 to 13h00 GMT.

Thanks for the welcome and advice...however, I go much better with BBQ sauce, personally.

Aeon Flux and BBQ sauce... for some reason that makes me shudder.

Yeah, anyway, what they said. I'm here a lot - frequently if not constantly. Feel free to PM me about anything.

I see everyone is naming their Forums, so I'll name mine :)

I moderate the Reed Stephens and Other Works forum. If you want to talk about the mysteries and short stories, or want to know what articles of his are available, or have a NEW one to report! please join us there.

A group read of THE MAN WHO KILLED HIS BROTHER is still there if you are just discovering the mysteries. Your comments are welcome. A spoiler would be considered anything that comes from later in the book than the chapter you are writing about.

I don't mod anything, but
I AM EARTHBLOOD AND I CONTAIN THE POWER OF COMMAND!!!

Sorry, did I say that out loud?
Anyway, like all the others, including Foul said, be welcome, welcome & true! This is a great board and with Runes of the Earth out, things are really going to heat up. We are all a very welcoming & tolerant group and really do want to hear what all you 'newbies' have to say.

Foul, everybody who knows you is holding their sides laughing, but these are newbies. Show them your duck Eggbert first, so they can see you're harmless. 8) 8) 8)

Hail all ye that are new to the Watch!! I help mod the Close and the Mallory Forums here. Tho, I have been absent from the Watch quite a bit lately and haven't really owned up to my modding responsibilites. Hope that will change soon, but I really doubt it with Thanksgiving, World AIDS Day and Christmas rapidly approaching, I'll probably still be away more than I'm here.

But feel free to PM me with any questions concerning the Watch and how to get around in it. It has grown sooooo much since I first joined over a year ago. I'm sure it daunts all you new members. It's a beautiful place tho, the best on the Net!! So be welcome here!! Welcome and true!! :D :D

And Foul, put the ketchup away...go feed it to Eggbert or something... :P
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.
