Maybe his favour was to bring Thomas back to life.

When Anele was reading the stole of Revelstone why did it remember Kastenessan? It didn't remember Berek and Anele said it was because Berek was never there.

That seems pretty strange to me.

Elohim are part of everything around them... kastenessen was part of Revelstone, just as very Elohim was...

Darth Revan, no way.
It was too specific and significant.

Well, not really... the Stone is part of the Earth... and so are the Elohim, it's only natural that it would know about Kastenessen.

Kastenessen

Post by brinn18 »

I dont believe Kastenessen is the harbringer..... but I do believe he is the other powerful force that possesses Anele. Linden feels the power of that being when he is in Anele, and if Kastenessen is powerful enough to break free.... the two seem to tie together.

We don't know that Kassy is capable of breaking free on his own. He may have help. I would even go so far as to say it is likely that he had help.

too true

Post by brinn18 »

that is very true, but it is still logical to think that Kastenessen is very powerful like any elohim. If so, I think he makes a good choice for the third "unknown" possesor of Anele.

I think, with the help of Skurj, he'll be more powerful than any other Elohim... think about it... they are warning people against him... but why do that, why not imprison him again? Only one explanation: they can't.

It would be interesting to know just what this fire in the earth is which Kastenessen was appointed to cap all those years ago. Could it be something to do with the Caesures?

Does the book *specifically* say so?
I don't have it in front of me but I thought it was still speculation at this point.

The evidence pretty much states the obvious. And I'd be willing to bet any amount of money on this.

I am playing around with the store and things.
I bought some stuff but then lost my Avatar!
Still, it's a lot of fun.
SOmeone needs to restock the store though.

"Because of his despair, we were compelled to bind him to his place, reaving him of name and choice and time to set him as a keystone for the threatened foundation of the north. Thus was the fire capped, and the Earth preserved, and Kastenessen lost."
If Kastenessen is around these days, then the keystone was not destroyed; rather, Kastenessen was released somehow, unbound, restored to name and choice and time.

The Elohim could do that (I suppose). But why would they? Could Foul's blight on the Elohim have grown so much that they would do this? (A word here, a whisper there ...)

Is it not a safe bet that his grandson (Esmer) sprang him? Remember Esmer summoned the Demondin, who seem to take instruction fron the fiery dude we all think is Kassie. Maybe Esmer even used a caesure to bust him out.

Why didn't Lord Foul (or the 2 Ravers) spring Kastenessen? Or maybe a croyel?

Ahhhh... not enough information... Can't wait for FR... I think Esmer is a good bet, but he doesn't seem to know about Kastenessen first hand, at least not yet...
