Welcome, Quisling. We will hug you, and pet you, and name you George, and stroke your bill. Wait a minute...
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

new to the watch

Post by brinn18 »

Hi everyone. I love the TCOTC books(I have read each series about 7 or 8 times) and it is nice to find some other people who like TCOTC and SRD, as that is pretty rare in my area. I think all of his work is excellent. Ive been enjoying everyones posts and was really glad to find this forum!

Hello all,

Name is Jim and my handle is tincupcpg. I used to haunt here regularly, but not for a very long time. I am back with the new book being released. I must say i've forgotten how nice it is here and how polite it is. I am Admin of 2 websites and help CustomPlay Games in designing and building their new golf sim for the pc. Look forward to talking here and reading all the great posts.

thanks for your good welcome

Dear people:

Your welcome honors me.

One of my favorite ideas from Covenant is:
"acceptance of a gift brings honor to the giver."

I have quoted from the Covenant series in dealing with
friends on various occaisions.

"Courtesy is like a drink from a mountain stream"

Lots of wonderful and hopeful philosophies from the Lords
and the Giants, especially Morham, Foamfollower, and Pitchwife.

Clearly, Donaldson is not only a writer par excellence, but also
a truly great human being.

Doug (aka "Davies")

I took the name "Davies" from the Gap series - I finally gave up on
getting a good name from the Covenant books, figuring all of those
were taken! (I didn't want to be "Foamfollower9999" lol : ) ).
